U.S. Rehab Red, White and Blue Technical and Repair Training Seminar

Details:
The purpose of this assembly is to set U.S. Rehab Technicians aside from the rest of the Industry, to form an elite National group of Assistive Technology Technicians to acquire the knowledge it takes to do the job in an efficient and timely manner. This program is developed for the service technician who has been working with power rehab equipment for a minimum of one year. This program will expand and strengthen the experienced rehab technician’s depth of knowledge and skill. Classes are limited to assure top quality one-on-one intensive training.

After each presenter the attendee will be given a comprehensive exam covering the training for that day. Scores from these exams will be used to provide certification recognition seals.

Special benefits offered to those members who successfully complete U.S. Rehab Technical Training, include:

   - MK Battery - Additional 3% discount
   - Permobil - Additional 6% on parts (not to exceed 16%)
   - Invacare - Additional 6% on parts (not to exceed 23%)
   - Motion Concepts - Additional secondary discount of 5% if paid within terms

Freedom Designs 2012 Simply Seating Seminar

One-day seminar

In this seminar, the overall seating process will be reviewed briefly. The child, adult and aged populations will be discussed with regard to skeletal development & deterioration, structural deformities, motor & sensory development & deterioration, skin, and other issues pertinent to seating. The benefits of early, independent  mobility will be discussed in the context of neuroplasticity. Ergonomic fit of a manual wheelchair for effective propulsion & reduction of injury will be discussed, as well as, certain frame characteristics.

Appropriate application of Freedom Design products will be demonstrated in case studies throughout the seminar.
Lecture, case studies, research and possibly video will be used during the presentation.
Several diagnoses will be discussed throughout the seminar including CP, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, CVA, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, SCI and SMA.

Course has a strong focus on pediatrics.

This seminar will focus on the evaluation process from a more dynamic perspective using
Neurodevelopmental Treatment & Sensory Integration. The child, adult and aged populations will be discussed with regard to skeletal development & deterioration, structural deformities, motor & sensory development & deterioration, skin, and other issues pertinent to seating.

Wheelchair parts, parameters, orientation in space options and ergonomic set up will be presented with regard to proper use and their impact on the user.

Invacare Technical Education Seminars are focused on the Diagnosis, Service & Repair of Invacare Power Mobility and Respiratory products. For 2012, Invacare will be offering both Power Mobility courses in a classroom setting which will allow for a true ”hands-on” learning experience. The Oxygen Concentrator Troubleshooting & Repair course is available as a web-based learning platform available when you need it. Invacare will also offer the Oxygen Concentrator Troubleshooting & Repair Course in a classroom setting in 4 locations. Intended for service/repair technicians, these courses are designed to help improve technician productivity by improving their Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) of Power Mobility and Respiratory products.
