About U.S. Rehab

The vision for U.S. REHAB was born out of rapidly changing and newly emerging market forces that have increasingly affected the independent rehabilitation supplier. These changing market forces, most notably managed care, have threatened the existence of all independent health care providers.

Large national home health care corporations have negotiated exclusive, discounted contracts to provide home care equipment and services with national and regional health care insurers, HMOs, PPOs and third party administrators. These contracts have effectively "locked out" the local independent provider with resultant loss of sales and erosion of referral source loyalty. Independents have countered by establishing networks to compete with the nationals; however, none have effectively served rehab technology, which is considered a specialty niche within a larger home health care market.

U.S. REHAB was formed for the purpose of uniting rehab technology suppliers in a network for group buying power and managed care contracting. U.S. REHAB recognizes the uniqueness of the rehab technology market and strives to preserve the quality of the product and services provided by members of the network while allowing them to become more competitive in the growing managed care environment.
